Keep the familiar storefront
Customers should still search, compare, and manage domains inside the registrar product they already understand. The local layer should strengthen that experience, not replace it.
Put eligibility before payment
If a namespace requires evidence, make that visible before checkout. Clear requirements reduce failed orders, repeated support, and the feeling that a rule appeared after the customer committed.
Define the handoff
Agree where customer data moves, who reviews documents, how clarification is requested, and which system owns the status shown to the customer. A handoff is only clean when responsibility is visible.
Design for the whole lifecycle
The integration must continue after registration. Renewals, transfers, nameservers, DNSSEC, expiry states, and registrant updates all need an operational route and an understandable customer state.
Keep a human path
Policy and edge cases do not always fit a fully automated decision. A specialist escalation path protects the customer experience when context matters.
